Bored kids? Get to bonding!

Oh how we loooong for summer to get here; especially those of us who might be teachers (not-so-subtle-reference to myself, over here!)  We crawl through the month of May with visions of summer bliss acting as the proverbial carrot we are chasing.  Our visions include plenty of quiet time to read that stack of books that's been collecting dust by your bed.  Dreams of children who always compromise and never fight.  And, of course, endless money to finance all your summer travel bucket-list desires.

Sounds perfect, right?  Heck, yeah!

But then reality hits.  And although it's still beautiful in its own way, it's really messy and looks more like sweating your face off and dodging splashes while trying to read by the pool, playing referee to your kids that have suddenly lost their minds and manners and never having enough money to finance all those travel dreams.  Oh yeah, and then there's the soundtrack of "I'm bored" that seem to be the underlying hum that never goes away.

But, it's still summer, which is still pretty great, right?

So, listen, I can't stop the heat or make your kids be sweet to each other or throw some travel money your way BUT I do have a fun resource, Mama, that I think might turn down the "I'm bored" soundtrack and give you and your family something to look forward to each day.

Enter:  "Family Bonding" - dum, dum, dummmmm!!!

Grab my calendar (or click here) and challenge your family to some bonding.  You can go in any order you wish, do 'em all or just complete your faves.  Either way you do it, I hope it adds some screen-free fun to your summer break.  And, I also hope you get plenty of time to peacefully read, travel the world and that your kids never, ever, ever fight again.

A girl can dream, right?
